What happens in Mexican Train when a double Cannot be satisfied?
If that player is unable to satisfy the double from his hand, he must draw from the boneyard and satisfy the double with that domino. If he is unable to, the player marks his own train public and then the obligation to satisfy the double continues on the following players according to the same rules.
Can you end on an open double in Mexican Train?
The double must be closed, so if someone else lays another double play continues until a player plays a closing tile. You and opponents will have to draw from the bone pile if no one has a playable tile. Our mobile and online Mexican Train Domino games handle all the rules and normal play for you.
Can you branch off a double in Mexican Train?
If they cannot “finish the double”, they must draw a domino, and if they cannot play it on the double, their own train becomes “public”. Single and double blanks are considered wilds. Mexican train dominoes can end on a double. Branching on doubles as in Chicken Foot is allowed as an option (see Variations below).
