Antarctic Research

The Foundation is now in its fifth season of supporting scientific research in Antarctica. Our involvement here is expected to continue growing. Direct involvement of the Foundation with grantees continues to be high with Antarctic projects, but is not a requirement. We have found that our logistics and fieldwork experience may increase the probability of success and reduce the cost of working in the extreme conditions found in Antarctica.
